I’ve jumped off this cliff with both feet.
Is this what “faith” is?
I’m in a free fall.
Panic sets in.
Will there be a “splat” at the end of this journey?
I “know” in my mind… that I will be ok. I don’t want to panic.
I want to enjoy the ride.
But…How do I do that?
How… do I enjoy this free fall?
Some people jump off cliffs for fun.
What is different about them?
The picture comes into my mind of my son, Zach
jumping off the highest bungy jumping bridge in the world.
He doesn’t “look” panicked as he swan dives toward the trees below.
Why?
He’s tethered.
He’s got a rope…. That secures him to the source… the bridge.
He even paid money for that ride.
He’s safe… its fun… scary… but fun.
The same is true for me.
I’m tethered to my Source.
I am safe.
I can enjoy the ride–
Whoo hooo…
Now THAT changes my perspective.
That’s how I enjoy the ride.
There’s a shift.
I’m swan diving.
What about you?
Faith… it is “the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1
